Executive Director, Amy Feigl

Amy Feigl (Smrcina) was born in Akron, OH, but raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. She started playing soccer at age five, and played Select soccer at Charlotte Soccer Academy (formerly Charlotte Soccer Club) and was a member of the North Carolina ODP (Olympic Development Program) for many years until she graduated from Charlotte Christian high school.  From there she went on to play on scholarship at Covenant College, in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. 


While at Covenant College, Feigl was one of the top midfielders in program history and instrumental in Covenant's dominance atop the Appalachian Athletic Conference from 2004-07. During those four years, Covenant won three AAC regular season championships, two AAC Tournament titles and advanced to the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in program history. Covenant went 50-17-6 (.726) during this stretch, the third-best winning percentage by a four-year class in program history.

Feigl was a three-time NAIA All-American as she earned honorable mention in 2004, third team in 2005, and second team honors in 2006. She was a four-time All-AAC honoree, including three first team selections, was named the conference's Player of the Year in 2006, and earned Freshman of the Year in 2003.

Feigl is currently the Director of Camps for
Inter Atlanta FC, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and enhancing the culture of soccer in the Atlanta area. The organization runs programs for recreational, academy, and select players for ages 4-19. She has been at Inter Atlanta FC for over ten years and was previously the Director of Coaching - Recreation Program from 2014-2018 and most recently the Director of Operations from 2018-2021.

She lives in Mableton with her husband Jake and their six children, Olivia (9), David (7), Emily (5), Esther (3), Joy (2), and Victor (1). Jake teaches at
Whitefield Academy in the 5th grade. She enjoys "pack" time with her family, outdoor anything, hiking, hammocks, bonfires, teaching, kids, and Sunday worship.

Coaching Experience

She began her coaching career in the late 1990's as a summer camp staff coach in Charlotte, North Carolina. She continued her coaching through her college years during the summer and even coached at her Alma Mater, Covenant College for a few years before moving to Atlanta. Ever since she started her coaching career in the late 1990's, teaching and instructing young children in the game of soccer has been a passion of hers.
